The Sounds Down on Avant Project was originally envisioned by Casa De Avi as a way to bring high quality recording to low income musicians. The original project was planning to allow musicians to record for the price of 2 songs that could be used on a compilation album at a later date. SDoA would make its money from selling compilation albums at CDA shows. We are sad that this project never came to fruition but we are still hoping to find our place in the music scene as time goes by.
